What We Believe

All creatures great and small should live free from human harm.

Elderly animals deserve proper hospice care.

Spaying and neutering is imperative to ending pet overpopulation and the consequent deaths of millions of healthy adoptable animals each year.

Adopting from shelters/rescues instead of buying from breeders is key to curbing the homeless pet crisis.

Trap-Neuter-Return for community cats saves lives and prevents suffering for feral and stray cats.

Veganism and any step toward the elimination of mass produced meat and dairy products is vital to our planet’s health.

Planting native pollinator gardens and removing pesticide usage is one of the best ways to protect our environment.

Our founder, Carrie Murtha, is an artist who funds her rescue work with her art, most of which is made from recycled or thrifted finds! Funds raised cover the cost of the supplies, vet care, and constant expenses needed to save the lives of animals at the sanctuary and at many other rescues in her state. 100% of every sale of her creations is donated to local rescue groups and specific neglected animals that Carrie has rescued.
