I’ve been making art my entire life, but what I was creating had never quite satisfied me completely…..until now! During the Covid quarantine of 2020, my mind seemed to awaken, and I began having visions of whimsically painted objects placed throughout our farm…. I could see bee covered dollhouses tucked among a maze of sunflowers, magical old typewriters on picnic tables, rusty clawfoot bathtubs covered in moths and mushrooms sitting by the barn, and globes turned into mesmerizing moving art under trees. Things that make you go, “hmmmm, indeed!”

I slowly began filling our garage with various vintage and antique objects that spoke to me. I love the idea of upcycling old castaways and wanted to give these items a completely new life. Hence, the name, Reimagined Relics. I clean each piece well and usually cover them with gesso before I start a layered painting process. A combination of gouache and pastels is my favorite way to achieve the look I want. And not surprisingly, nature is my constant inspiration and subject matter.

Each of these one-of-a-kind works of art are auctioned on our social media accounts, and 100% of the sale goes toward rescue projects! My heart sings knowing that my deep love for creating can benefit my other great love, animals!
